ERICA KALLIN

Erica Kallin graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Montana in 2001, with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and a minor in History.  In 2004, she obtained her law degree from the University of Montana, School of Law, graduating with honors.  After a brief stint of private practice in Montana, Erica moved to Idaho, where she joined the Canyon County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office as a Deputy Prosecutor.  She took over 100 felony cases to trial with an extremely high conviction rate, preparing thousands of witnesses to testify in court.  While at the Prosecutor’s Office, she has handled every type of case, including juvenile and child protection cases, as well as general misdemeanors and felonies.  For 12 years, she prosecuted child abuse and sexual abuse cases, as well as homicides.  Erica thoroughly prepares for every case, recognizing that every case is important and requires a strong, prepared advocate.  The time and energy she spent understanding the victim's struggles and needs has allowed Erica to better understand and relate with family law clients.  She is patient, caring and compassionate when it comes to her client's needs.

Erica has presented nationally and internationally in the area of child abuse and has trained for Building Hope Today, a non-profit focused on ending child sexual abuse.  Erica is the 2011 recipient of the Governor’s Task Force on Children at Risk “Prosecutor Award of Excellence,” the 2012 Idaho Sex Offender Watch “William E. Borah Minister of Justice” award and was recognized by the Idaho Business Review as a Woman of the Year nominee in 2014 and 2016.  She is active within her community, serving as the President, Lacrosse Commissioner, Football Commissioner and coach for a Police Activities League, President of the new Middle School Lacrosse program, as well as serving as the past Board Chair for a local charter school. She is married and has two boys.
